Former home base for Asheville's respected Roots + Wings School of Art and Design, the Roots + Wings Creative Campus continues to includes several unique office rental spaces for people and organizations who who share an interest in the power that art, creativity and innovation bring to our lives. Most of these spaces are available for annual rentals.

The Roots + Wings Creative Campus is located at 573 Fairview Road at the corner of Fairview Road and Shannon Drive, in Asheville’s convenient Oakley Neighborhood.

Restored in an extensive renovation that earned a 2016 Griffin Award from the Preservation Society of Asheville and Buncombe County, the campus has the feel of a community gathering spot where people who share common interests can work on the things that matter most to them--yet it's located less than four minutes away from Biltmore Village and the I-240/40 interchange.

Campus Hours and Work Space Uses

Campus hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day (sorry, zoning requirement).

All other offices and work-spaces are approved for Business uses.
(general offices, studios, instructional services)

Music/voice lessons and performance are limited to the recording studio.

Annual tenants must obtain City of Asheville occupancy permit for their business use.

On-street parking is not permitted on Fairview Road or Shannon Drive.

Amenities

More than just a work space.

The Roots + Wings Creative Campus is more than just a collection of work spaces – it's a community where people and organizations who have shared interests in art, creativity and innovation can be inspired by one another and engage the world around them.

To encourage that interaction and make it easier for our tenants to do what they enjoy doing, we included amenities that members of the Creative Campus community can share.

Conference Room

Tenants have shared access to the campus conference room, which includes Internet access, a white board and a wall-mounted video screen with AppleTV for video presentations. Scheduling is handled via an online calendar.

Parking

Tenants and guests have shared access to our off-street parking lot adjacent to the building. The parking lot entrance is off of Shannon Drive and the exit is onto Fairview Road. On-street parking is not permitted on Fairview Road or Shannon Drive.

Internet Access

Internet access is available to tenants and guests across the building at no additional cost. Internet service to the building is provided by Spectrum Business and delivered within the building via shared Wi-Fi and, for some offices, wired Ethernet.

Break Room and Outdoor Space

Tenants have shared access to a central break room that includes a sink, mircrowave, refrigerator, washer/dryers and coffee maker. There are also several outdoor spaces to sit, meet or eat outside for tenants and their clients.
